WINTER WREATHS FOR WILDLIFE
While these are primarily hung for pretty, I also love to tuck in some things for wildlife like seeds, crusty sourdough bread, and mini tomatoes. This project is 100% biodegradable with using jute as string for hanging. Simply load up all your ingredients into a mold (bowl, bunt pan, or specific wreath mold if you wish!), layer water over top, and then freeze!I love to layer it up, but if you want more glistening ice, use less ingredients.
Once froze, place near an existing feeder if you want birds to find it fast. If you’d like to enjoy it for a bit without birds eating on it day one, place in a new location. If you live in a warmer environment, you can still make them and enjoy for a couple hours! Wildlife will love the seeds that fall and eat off the ground.
